Born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, Dwayne Pittman Jr. is a proud father of two and a passionate advocate for mental health, community organization, and civil rights. As the founder and owner of Pittman's Bookkeeping and Consulting Services LLC, he brings a wealth of financial expertise to his role as Chief Financial Officer for the Afro Caribbean Cultural Center.
Dwayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with a Minor in Finance from Post University. His dedication to community service and social change is evident through his involvement on several boards, including serving as Executive Director and Co-Founder of B.L.A.C. (Building Legacy and Community) and Youth Advisor for the Waterbury Pride NAACP Youth Council. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Waterbury Black Business Network (WBBN), where he leverages his financial acumen to support the organization's mission.
A distinguished graduate of both the Campaign School at Yale University and the Congressional Black Caucus Campaign Institute, Dwayne has lent his skills to various political campaigns at both state and federal levels. His mission is to empower the next generation to recognize their potential to influence policy and foster sustainable, thriving communities. Through his work, Dwayne aims to create a brighter future for all.
